Netica's musical journey

SPOTIFY BIO:

"I literally never even knew that I'd start making music when I was a kid and to be honest with you, I thought I'd be dead before 20. But now I am almost 30 and still kicking it and shooting goals. I had been in chaos and strife for the early years of my adulthood and whereas now things are different, luckily."  

Independent artist, Netica is a self-taught singer, music producer and record composer; although she did do a few singing lessons in high-school and a few piano lessons after graduation but it wasn't until the end of November 2014 until she had discovered her career path, practiced her melodies and songs and roughly around 2017 her music style blossomed and it wasn't until the beginning of 2020 when she started releasing music consistently and now has over 400 songs published on Major Streaming Platforms.  

She uses the "freestyler's method" in most of her tracks opposed to writing her lyrics in 90% of her recent releases, but does enjoy writing lyrics prior to recording them from time to time. Her more recent successful singles have been; Not There, Good Parents  & Chasing Moonlight. Whereas, BEATS (Volume 1) - has a total of 85 tracks in the compilation album. Born in South Australia in 1994, she grew up in the era of the Eurodance culture, into a woman with a good heart full of Electronic & Dance classics as well as the newer age Electro-Pop & Disco, Trip-Hop, Future-Bass, D'n'B, Hip-Hop & R'n'B + with a hint of Folk & Indie-Rock n Roll.

Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.

I was a kid and I would listen to "Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65" which was my favorite song. I would play the guitar with my version of "Message In A Bottle by The Police", but "Baby and The Bottle" and also experimented with the electric keyboard.

What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?

Flume, Flume Flume, Skin Tove Lo, Queen of the Clouds Flumey and his music made me, he made Netica basically. Tove Lo is cool, her music had inspired me a lot at the beginning too.

“Understand” I had never before made a track which such rhythm and beat. I feel like with this track, I have put together something really freaking catchy and special. It openly talks about wanting to be understood and not judged by people. I feel it, I feel it.

What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?

Finding myself spiritually as well as mentally, just being with me and myself in the moment when I'm making a song and find out afterwards that it's worthy. I am so grateful to be a part of something bigger than myself and wouldn't change anything.

Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?

Just to enjoy my music publications by listening to them myself and if anyone else wants to listen to my music too and love it, or even become my fan, I love them too and I am also their fan.
